RTGS can be used for transfer of funds electronically between two Banks in Uganda. It offers a convenient, effective, simple, faster and secured way to transfer funds in Uganda. It works on the ‘Single Debit Single Credit’ concept.

EFT allows electronic fund transfer from our Bank of India Uganda Limited to any bank in Uganda via Bank of Uganda (Central Bank). The facility is very quick, effective, safe and secured. The funds will be credited to recipient’s account within the same day. RTGS/EFT is also very useful in high value payments since cheques cannot be issued above Ugx. 20,000,000 or Usd.10,000.
